It seemed yesterday, but three years have now gone by since the inception of the Center. We are launching our third Activity Report, which you can read here. An amazing and unified team, its dedication and passion, made possible solid progress in delivering our Purpose: Contribute to a society where we only have Responsible Businesses led by Responsible Leaders. Our focus remains the same, always around the four key themes, we have elected three years ago: SDGs, Purpose, Business Case for Action, and Responsible Leadership. These are the themes we strongly believe are pieces of the big puzzle called Responsible Business. This report will take you through our several interventions to deliver this Agenda – from the SDG Observatory to the Responsible Leadership project, from the Purpose consulting project to the teaching of the Business case for Action in Executive Education Programs. These are just examples of the many activities you will find in these pages. We have witnessed in the last three years very significant progress in the way the corporate world addresses the challenges of People and the Planet and the growing understanding of a mantra we use often in the Center: Without profit and economic sustainability, there will hardly be any concerns with environmental and social issues. Correct! But what is becoming abundantly clear is that without dealing with those concerns, there will hardly be any profit or economic sustainability. But clearly, there is still a lot to be done, and we will be on the “frontline” trying to help our society to follow the path towards a more responsible one.
