building sustainable leadership
My Message to CEO’s, Business Leaders, HR Managers
Our Planet is becoming hardly Sustainable (on issues ranging from Environment to Employee Engagement, from Ethics to Local Communities, from Diversity to Gender and Race inequalities, from the way Suppliers treat their work forces to Customer satisfaction) which leads to this unstoppable Macro Trend called "Responsible Business"
A new kind of citizen and consumer is emerging, much more aware of the global concerns on Sustainability. More than ever, we need Leaders who are fully aware of the role Corporations need to play when facing this new challenge and the importance of considering various aspects of Corporate Social Responsibility when defining Corporate or Business strategies.
That is why “Sustainable Leadership” is crucial, we need leaders who are fully aware of this rising Macro Trend and well equipped with key Leadership practices to face it. Please take a look at my three Credos (Leadership, Responsible Business and Socially Responsible Leadership) – if you agree with most of what I believe in, then the Building Sustainable Leadership Workshop will help you raise the bar within your organisation.
Objectives:
-
Raise Awareness of what a "Responsible Business" really means and the role of Corporations
-
Identify and Understand the key Leadership Practices in this “New World”
-
Personal Action Plan to “Practice”
Structure:
-
Two and a half days
-
Conducted in either Portuguese, Spanish or English language
Target audience:
-
Suitable for Top and Middle Managers, and for those who are soon to be appointed to similar Management positions
-
The workshop is also relevant to employees who the organisation considers important to help shape its "Responsible Business" Agenda
What to Expect:
Main objective is to Raise Awareness of what a "responsible Business" really means and the role of Corporations in these fast-moving markets and, bearing these new Challenges in mind, identify and understand the key Leadership Practices expected from great “Sustainable Leadership”
At the end of the Workshop, you'll be able to understand
-
RB is not a Fad but un unstoppable Macro Trend
-
That only Sustainable Leadership will be able to deliver Sustainable Performance
-
That the world has moved on, RB is no longer Philanthropy or even Risk Management, is about Shared Value Creation
-
That RB reaches far beyond Environment concerns (ranging from Ethics to Local Communities, the way Employees are treated to Diversity, from Gender and Race discrimination to the way Suppliers treat their work forces and to Customer Satisfaction)
-
What is the Context and why did we come this far? What is the real meaning of RB? Why is it important to be integrated in Corporate Strategies? Is there a clear Business Case for Action? How to Measure it? Is there a clear link between Performance and Results? How to Communicate, the key link to Core Business. What could be in it for your Company (Purpose/Issues/Stakeholders/Value Creation) All topics to be illustrated with Case Studies of Success (and Failures): Unilever/Nestle/Coca Cola/Apple/Ford/Lego
-
What are the key Leadership Practices that are most relevant in delivering “Sustainable Performance”
-
This Macro Trend will need, more than ever, leaders who are able to Clarify their own Values and stand by them. We will be discussing why it is so important to “declare” our Values and “Walk the Talk”
-
This Macro Trend will need, more than ever, leaders who have a Vision and are able to align their Teams around it
-
This Macro Trend will need, more than ever, leaders who are aware of what is going on in the market place, who understand the importance of Innovation as competitive advantage, the importance of Risk Taking and “Small Wins”, leaders who are prepared to challenge and be challenged
-
This Macro Trend will need, more than ever, leaders who understand the importance of showing Trust, who know how to create a “trusting” environment and the “Sense of Belonging”, who know how to make people feel empowered, strong, informed, integrated, who understand that they have in their hands the power to make people feel powerful or powerless
-
This Macro Trend will need, more than ever, leaders who Put People first, play it from the heart, recognise Contributions and celebrate Achievements. Leaders who “Work Hard, Have Fun”
-
At the end, participants are expected to agree that the great leaders of tomorrow are those who will be, today, devoting their “souls and minds” to this unstoppable Macro Trend called "responsible Business". “Sustainable Leadership” seems to be the key competence of the great leaders of tomorrow
