Food for thought on Women’s Day… Recent articles and studies provide quite an interesting “food for thought exercise”:
HBR saying “Women Score Higher Than Men in Most Leadership Skills”
WEF stating that 90% of Top performers have high EQ (emotional intelligence), which is responsible for your job performance
Korn Ferry study concludes that Women topped men in 11 of 12 emotional intelligence measures in a new study
Other data roughly (in the sense that it obviously varies in terms of geography and knowledge field) shows that:
Out of Universities, 50% Men/50% Women
Middle Managers, 70% Men/30% Women
Top C-levels, 90% Men/10% Women
Going to the bottom of the question “why is this happening?” needs to be at the top of the corporate agendas for those companies that really want to address Gender Equality.
